Bumax BHB8PCM060030 M6 x 30mm Stainless Steel High Tensile Hex Bolt, Grade 8.8

The Bumax stainless steel high tensile hex bolt in Grade 8.8 is listed in metric sizes, supplied each. This page lists 153 items: M6 to M36, lengths 30 to 240mm.

A hex bolt has a six-sided head for a spanner or socket. It is fitted through a clearance hole with a nut, or into a tapped hole of the same thread. The length is the second number in the size (M6 x 30mm is a 30mm length); on a hex head bolt this is normally measured from under the head to the end of the bolt. The item descriptions do not say whether the thread runs the full length or only part of it.

These items are listed as Grade 8.8 and as stainless steel high tensile.

Pitch in the table is the coarse pitch listed in the thread table for each size; the item descriptions do not state a pitch, so match it to your bolt, nut or rod (manufacturer-stated).

Tensile strength, proof load and dimension data are not published on this page. If your job needs them, ask us for the manufacturer data before ordering.

Selecting the right option

Choose the diameter (the M number) first, then the length, which is the second number in the size. Match the nut to the diameter and pitch, and add a washer if the joint needs one. Use stainless nuts and washers with a stainless bolt so the whole joint is made of the same material. Grade 10.9 bolts are on a separate page: see Bumax Stainless Steel High Tensile Hex Bolt, Grade 10.9, M6 to M16, 35 to 150mm.
