CRC SmartWasher OzzyJuice SW-8 Select Metals Degreasing Solution 20L

CRC SmartWasher OzzyJuice SW-8 is a select metals degreasing solution for the CRC SmartWasher, supplied in a 20L pail. CRC's technical data sheet describes it as a water-based, solvent-free mix of emulsifiers and surfactants. It was formerly called SW-6.8.

CRC's technical data sheet says it is specialised for aerospace, weapons or select metals, and not corrosive to a wide range of yellow and ferrous metals. CRC's page describes it as optimised for soft and ferrous metals.

Selecting the right option

SW-8 is the select metals grade. Using it

CRC's directions: add as supplied to the SmartWasher as needed. A light comes on when the SmartWasher is low on OzzyJuice.

Limits and safety

SDS (07 Feb 2023, revision 1.3): not classified as hazardous according to Safe Work Australia criteria; not classified as a dangerous good. The SDS says it may cause irritation to the eyes and skin. Skin contact may cause temporary mild skin irritation, and prolonged or repeated contact may result in drying and defatting of the skin. Eye contact may cause discomfort, lacrimation and redness. The SDS says to wear splash-proof goggles and PVC or rubber gloves, and that it is compatible with most commonly used materials. The Mil-PRF-29602A wording is a US military specification as printed by CRC and does not imply an Australian approval. Read the safety data sheet before use.
