CRC SmartWasher OzzyMat FL-4 Multi-Layer Filter
Available
CRC SmartWasher OzzyMat FL-4 is a multi-layer filter mat for the SmartWasher system that carries Ozzy microbes into the fluid. CRC's technical data sheet calls it a multi-layer fluid activation mat.
CRC's catalogue describes four white layers and one blue layer. The white layers trap particulate larger than 50 microns and are peeled away once a week; the coloured layer is the support structure that contains the microbes. CRC recommends it for normal to heavy parts cleaning applications.

Selecting the right option
The OzzyMat works with the OzzyJuice fluid in the machine, see CRC SmartWasher OzzyJuice SW-4 Heavy Duty Degreasing Solution 20L, CRC SmartWasher OzzyJuice SW-8 Select Metals Degreasing Solution 20L and CRC SmartWasher OzzyJuice High Performance Degreasing Solution SW-X1, 18.9L. CRC lists OzzyBooster for overused machines, see CRC SmartWasher OzzyBooster Microbial Enhancer Blue 250ml.
Using it
CRC's directions: lay the mat on the mat support white side up. Peel the top white layer weekly and wring out excess. Replace the whole mat monthly (every 30 days).
To change the mat, CRC's manual says to roll up the used mat and stand it vertically to drain. Never wring out the OzzyMat before disposal. Dispose of it in line with National, State or local regulations.
Storage and handling
CRC's safety data sheet says to store between 0°C and 40°C.
Limits and safety
SDS (16 Dec 2024, revision 1.3): not classified as hazardous according to Safe Work Australia criteria and non flammable. Skin: not classified as a skin irritant, but contact may result in mild irritation. Eyes: not classified as an eye irritant, but contact may cause discomfort, lacrimation and redness. Ingestion of large amounts may cause gastrointestinal disturbances. The SDS says it is non flammable but may evolve toxic gases if strongly heated. Not classified as a dangerous good. The SDS advises dust-proof goggles, PVC or rubber gloves, and at high dust levels a Class P1 / N95 respirator. CRC's documents describe the appearance in different ways, so none is given here. Read the safety data sheet before use.
