Dixon 08/048/19/000SS 50 NB Minsup Quick Release Shouldered Coupling - Stainless Steel

This Dixon Minsup quick release shouldered coupling is the stainless steel version, for shouldered-end pipe. The cast components are CF8M, the machined components are 316 stainless steel, the locking pin is zinc plated carbon steel and the gasket is nitrile Buna rubber (manufacturer-stated). Three sizes are listed: 50, 100 and 150 NB.

Dixon rates the 50 and 100 NB sizes at 300 PSI and the 150 NB size at 200 PSI (manufacturer-stated). The coupling is made to fit standard pipe, and Dixon states that couplings of this type are not recommended for use with air.

Sizes, pipe OD and pressure are the figures in Dixon's catalogue. The main catalogue prints the 150 NB part number as 08/048/19/005S; the store and the ANFO section use 08/048/19/005SS.

Selecting the right option

Check the pipe OD and the pipe end before you order: the pipe needs a shouldered end. Dixon does not recommend these couplings for air. The 150 NB size has the lower pressure rating of the three. An SG iron version is listed in five sizes (linked below).
