The Loctite SF 7414 Tamper-Proofing Paste (formerly Loctite 7414) is a blue, fast-drying paste that shows at a glance whether a fastener or setting has been moved. Laid across a nut, stud or fitting after final torque, it dries brittle, so any later movement cracks the mark for inspectors and service staff to see. It dries on the surface in 60 to 120 seconds, is non-corrosive to aluminium, magnesium, titanium, stainless steel and copper, and handles -35°C to +145°C once dry. This is the 50 ml tube.
Run a narrow bead from the tube across the fastener and the part next to it, ideally at 15°C to 25°C, and recap firmly straight after, as the paste skins over quickly. It is solvent-based and flammable, so store it with other flammables away from oxidisers, and don't use it in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
