The Loctite SF 7900 Ceramic Shield (known as Loctite Ceramishield) is a silicone-free, boron nitride dry-film coating that stops weld spatter sticking to MIG/MAG contact tips and nozzles. It also protects jigs, fixtures, power cables, sensors and spot-welding jaws, and is used on plasma and laser cutting equipment. One application gives up to 8 hours of protection, cutting cleaning time and downtime. This is the 270 g aerosol.
Clean the parts, shake the can for at least a minute and spray a light coat from 10 to 15 cm; the film turns white within 5 to 10 seconds, and heavy coats will flake off. Only spray parts below 65°C, never hot tips, and use it for MIG/MAG rather than TIG or stick welding. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
