M5 (3.2mm wire) Lag/swage Rigging Screw, 316 Stainless Steel - 0493B
Available
This 316 stainless steel lag/swage rigging screw is a rigging screw that tensions wire rope. It has a lag-style threaded end and a swage end for wire rope, and turning the body tightens or loosens the line.
This listing is a single size: M5 (3.2mm wire). Each variant is supplied in packs of 10.
The A4 (316) grade is stainless steel with added molybdenum, which helps it hold up where salt, pool chemicals or washdown chemicals are present. It is the more corrosion-resistant of the two common stainless grades, at a higher cost than 304. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.
In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.
