Mackay M15260 Bonded Rectangular Buffer, 156 x 64 mm, 250 kg Compression Load

The Mackay M15260 is a rectangular buffer on a flat base plate. Mackay says it is easily fitted, that reducing transmitted shock loads lets equipment be designed more economically, and that it is designed to protect structures and equipment from impact forces (manufacturer-stated).

Mackay says it is usually fitted as non-metallic stops or built into vehicle suspension systems to give progressive stiffening under increasing load (manufacturer-stated). The M15260 has a 156 mm long plate (K), is 64 mm wide (B) and 37 mm high (H), and carries a 250 kg compression load at 13 mm deflection. It weighs 0.6 kg.

Where this product is used

• Dump trucks, off-road vehicles, cranes and handling equipment (manufacturer-stated).
• Vehicle suspensions, where it gives progressive stiffening under increasing load (manufacturer-stated).
• Fitted as non-metallic stops to protect structures and equipment from impact forces (manufacturer-stated).

Features

• Easily fitted (manufacturer-stated)
• Reduces transmitted shock loads so equipment can be designed more economically (manufacturer-stated)

Key specifications

Selecting the right option

Compare the 250 kg compression load and 13 mm deflection with your impact or suspension duty. Check your fixing points against the 127 mm hole centre spacing (A), 13.5 mm hole diameter (d) and 156 mm plate length (K). Mackay prints all properties as nominal and asks you to contact them for technical advice.
