M2 Spring Washer, 316 Stainless Steel - SWAA4M2
Available
The Metric Spring Washer, 316 Stainless Steel is a split ring washer, twisted so that its ends spring apart. It sits under a nut or bolt head and helps resist loosening from vibration.
Made from 316 (A4) stainless steel, the grade normally specified for chloride-exposed work such as coastal installations, swimming pools, marine fittings and food-processing plant. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.
You can choose from 19 variants, covering sizes M2 to M36. Variants are supplied in packs of 25 to 200, depending on size.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option
A spring washer provides limited locking on its own. Where the joint is critical or loaded in shear, use a locking nut or a thread-locking method as well. Match the washer to the fastener size. For indoor and general outdoor use where chlorides are not a concern, the A2 (304) version is the lower-cost option: Metric Spring Washer - 304 Stainless Steel.
