The Imperial Spring Washer, 304 Stainless Steel is available in 12 sizes (1/8" to 1") and is a split ring washer, twisted so that its ends spring apart. It sits under a nut or bolt head and helps resist loosening from vibration.
A2 stainless (grade 304) gives sound general corrosion resistance for inside work, fresh water and ordinary outdoor exposure. It is not the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool or marine work, where A4 (316) is recommended.
You can choose from 12 variants, covering sizes 1/8" to 1". Variants are supplied in packs of 50 to 200, depending on size.
Austenitic stainless steel is generally non-magnetic, although cold-worked parts can show weak magnetism. In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option
A spring washer provides limited locking on its own. Where the joint is critical or loaded in shear, use a locking nut or a thread-locking method as well. Match the washer to the fastener size. Near the coast, around pools or in marine settings, use the A4 (316) version instead: Imperial Spring Washer - 316 Stainless Steel - A0212243.
