1-1/4" Spring Washer, 316 Stainless Steel - SWAA4114

The Imperial Spring Washer, 316 Stainless Steel, A0212244 is a split ring washer, twisted so that its ends spring apart. It sits under a nut or bolt head and helps resist loosening from vibration.

The A4 (316) grade is stainless steel with added molybdenum, which helps it hold up where salt, pool chemicals or washdown chemicals are present. It is the more corrosion-resistant of the two common stainless grades, at a higher cost than 304.

You can choose from 2 variants, covering sizes 1-1/4" to 1-1/2". Each variant is supplied in packs of 25.

In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option

A spring washer provides limited locking on its own. Where the joint is critical or loaded in shear, use a locking nut or a thread-locking method as well. Match the washer to the fastener size. Where chlorides are not a concern, the A2 (304) version costs less: Imperial Spring Washer - 304 Stainless Steel.
