The Pferd POLIFAN Z SGP STRONG STEEL is a conical flap disc with zirconia alumina flaps, from its Special Line SGP range. The range has 6 options in 115 to 180mm diameters, grits 36 and 50.

The Z SGP STRONG STEEL is a flap disc with an exceptionally high performance level, suitable for work on weld seams, chamfering and deburring. The conical type has a narrower grinding area for work on weld seams, chamfering and deburring, with optimum use of the flap configuration at a contact angle of 10 to 25 degrees. Constant grinding aggressiveness down to the last abrasive grit.

Choosing the right option

A higher grit number is a finer abrasive. With POLIFAN flap discs a grit one grade coarser can be selected to reach the same surface as with fibre discs. Each shape suits a different job: flat (PFF) for surface grinding, conical (PFC) for weld seams, chamfering and deburring, and radial (PFR, CURVE) for fillet welds. Check the maximum speed given for the item and keep the angle grinder at or below it.
