Pferd RBU Brush, 30 x 6mm

The Pferd RBU is a shank-mounted crimped wheel brush. It has a 6mm shank and stainless steel wire filament. The range has 9 options: 30 x 6mm, 40 x 9mm, 50 x 15mm, 60 x 15mm, 70 x 10mm, 70 x 15mm, 80 x 10mm, 80 x 15mm and 100 x 10mm (brush diameter and face width).

The RBU is suited to cleaning, derusting, smoothing, cleaning of weld seams, light deburring, and removal of corrosion and paint. Filament diameters are 0.20mm and 0.30mm. Optimum and maximum speeds depend on the size: maximum speeds run from 12,000 to 20,000rpm, so check the figures for the item you choose. Stainless steel wire: no corroding residues left on the workpiece, temperature resistance up to 450°C. Key features: highly flexible, so it adjusts to the workpiece contour, creates fine surfaces.

Choosing the right option

Match the 6mm shank to your chuck or collet. The recommended cutting speed is 15 to 40 m/s for shank-mounted wheel brushes, depending on the application and below the maximum permitted speed. Stainless steel wire is rated not suitable for cast iron or plastics. Never exceed the maximum permitted speed marked on the brush, its label and .
