Q-Bond QB2 Ultra Strong Adhesive Small Repair Kit with Reinforcing Powder
Available
The Q-Bond QB2 is a small repair kit that pairs a liquid cyanoacrylate adhesive with reinforcing powders, so it can glue a clean break or fill and rebuild a crack, hole or gap in plastics and metals. The kit holds two 10 ml bottles of adhesive, one grey powder and one black powder (manufacturer-stated).
Used alone, the adhesive bonds most non-porous materials in seconds and dries clear. With a powder it builds a rigid, sandable repair: black powder is intended mainly for plastics, grey powder mainly for metal, and the cured repair can be drilled, ground, filed, sanded and painted. Q-Bond states a temperature range of -55 to 180 C with powder and -55 to 82 C for the adhesive alone (manufacturer-stated). Two red pins pierce the seals and reseal the bottles after use. The QB2 is the smaller of the two kits, with two bottles of adhesive against the six in the Q-Bond QB3 large repair kit.

How to use it
Clean and dry the surface, remove any paint, and roughen it with a file or sandpaper if you are using powder (manufacturer-stated). For a plain bond, apply the adhesive to one side, join the parts, press firmly and hold for 10 seconds (manufacturer-stated). With powder, sprinkle on the powder, saturate it with adhesive and build up in layers; for a gap, put tape underneath first, fill with powder, then add enough adhesive to penetrate (manufacturer-stated). Wipe the nozzle clean after use, replace the red pin and store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place (manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option
Choose the QB2 for occasional repairs where two bottles of adhesive and one of each powder will do. For more repairs or more adhesive use the Q-Bond QB3 large repair kit, and for gluing close-fitting parts with no powder needed see the single-bottle Q-Bond QB4 10 ml adhesive. Q-Bond does not bond polypropylene, polyethylene or stainless steel (manufacturer-stated).
