#4-2 Blind Rivet, 304 Stainless Steel - RILA242
Available
The Rivet A2 (304) Large Flange Stainless Steel is available in 17 sizes (#4-2 to #6-12) and is a blind rivet set from one side of the work with a rivet tool. The mandrel is pulled through the rivet body, which expands to clamp the sheet, and the mandrel then breaks off.
The range runs to 17 variants, covering sizes #4-2 to #6-12. Pack quantities depend on size: packs of 250 to 1000.
Made from 304 (A2) stainless steel, a standard austenitic grade with good everyday corrosion resistance. It is a sound choice away from the coast; in chloride-exposed settings, step up to 316 (A4).
In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option
Choose the rivet diameter and grip range to suit the material stack thickness. Sizes are shown as diameter-length code (for example 4-2 for 4 mm diameter and grip code 2). Check that the rivet tool you own can set stainless steel rivets of that diameter. Near the coast, around pools or in marine settings, use the A4 (316) version instead: Rivet A4 (316) Open Type Stainless Steel.
