Sutton H104 CT63 TCT Pilot Drill 6.35mm (1/4") x 105mm for Holesaws
Available
The Sutton H104 CT63 is a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) x 105 mm tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) pilot drill for holesaws. It is designed for drilling compressed fibre cement and other abrasive materials, and it is the TCT pilot paired with the UA3 arbor (5/8 UNF, for 32 to 152 mm holesaws).
Tungsten carbide tipping is designed to stand up to abrasive materials that wear a high speed steel pilot drill quickly. The 6.35 mm shank fits holesaw arbors that take a 1/4 in pilot drill.
Where this product is used
- Drilling the centre hole in compressed fibre cement sheet before cutting with a holesaw.
- Replacing a worn pilot drill when cutting fibre cement and other abrasive sheet.
- Fitting to UA3 arbors used with 32 to 152 mm holesaws.
Using the pilot drill
- Fit the pilot drill fully into the arbor and tighten the grub screw before drilling.
- Use a moderate speed and steady pressure in fibre cement, and wear a dust mask and eye protection.
- Replace the pilot drill when the tip wears, as a worn pilot makes the holesaw wander.
