Sutton M700PP7S 7 Piece Short Pin Punch Set 2-6.5mm - Carbon Steel

The Sutton M700PP7S (M700 PP7S) is a 7 piece set of short pin punches in 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 6.5 mm sizes, made from high quality carbon steel with a blue finish. Pin punches are used as a driving tool, typically to drive pins that affix a fixture to a rotating shaft.

The point of each punch is hardened and tempered to withstand continuous use, and well cut knurling gives a positive finger grip. The set covers the common pin sizes in one pack, so the punch can be matched to the pin diameter.

Using a pin punch

• Choose a punch slightly smaller than the pin so it drives the pin without jamming in the hole.
• Support the work on a solid surface and strike the punch squarely with a hammer.
• Wear eye protection, and replace a punch with a mushroomed head or damaged point.
