AAP 2 in Bronze Shouldered Gate Valve, T-Lever | VBZG50S

This AAP bronze shouldered gate valve has a T-lever and a bronze body, bonnet and stem, with an EPDM capsulated bronze wedge. It is supplied in one size, 2 in (50 mm).

A wedge gate valve moves a wedge-shaped gate between two body seats using a spindle, so when it is fully open the fluid has a straight, uninterrupted passage with very little pressure drop. AAP says it is not recommended for flow regulation and should only be used fully open or fully closed.

AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 120 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,200 kPa (12 bar), and lists the valve for water, oil, gas and irrigation (manufacturer-stated). AAP does not state the thread form for this valve, so confirm it with AIMS before you order.

They are shown here as length 102.5 mm and height 176 mm, the order that matches the other valves in this range, so check the length against your pipework if it matters.

Selecting the right option

Check the thread form against your pipework before you order, as AAP does not state it. Use the valve fully open or fully closed rather than to throttle flow. AAP also lists a screwed bronze gate valve with a handwheel in 1/2 in to 2 in.
