A forged class 3000 reducing insert that drop-in insert that reduces the bore of a socket-weld fitting to a smaller size. Made to ASME B16.11-2009 from ASTM A105 carbon steel with socket-weld bores both ends cut at both ends. Plain black (oiled) finish suits dry or sheltered service. For outdoor or damp installations, use the galvanised variant. As a socket weld fitting (category-derived) in black with socket-weld connections, it pairs cleanly with the rest of the AAP high-pressure range so a complete joint can be built from one supplier.
