4 in (100 mm) Knife Gate Valve, Retainer Type, Table D | VKGRS100D

This AAP stainless steel retainer type knife gate valve has a CF8M stainless steel body, a 316 stainless steel gate and flanged ends to AS 2129 Table D (manufacturer-stated). It is supplied in 5 sizes from 4 in (100 mm) to 12 in (300 mm).

A knife gate valve closes with a thin flat gate that slides across the line and cuts through thick or solids-laden fluid, which is why it is used on slurries, effluent and pulp where a wedge gate would clog. AAP says its stainless steel knife gate valves are designed for inline service, and that a support flange should be used if the valve is installed on a dead end.

AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 100 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,034 kPa (10.34 bar), with a design to MSS SP-81 and flanges to AS 2129 Table D (all manufacturer-stated). The seat is NBR held in a retainer, with a CF8M body and a 316 stainless steel gate.

AAP can also supply EPDM, PTFE, stainless steel metal, Viton, ceramic and polyurethane seats for this valve (manufacturer-stated). Ask AIMS if your fluid or temperature needs a different seat.
