This AAP stainless steel metal seat knife gate valve has a CF8M stainless steel body, a 316 stainless steel gate and flanged ends to AS 2129 Table E (manufacturer-stated). It is supplied in 10 sizes from 2 in (50 mm) to 18 in (450 mm).

A knife gate valve closes with a thin flat gate that slides across the line and cuts through thick or solids-laden fluid, which is why it is used on slurries, effluent and pulp where a wedge gate would clog. AAP says its stainless steel knife gate valves are designed for inline service, and that a support flange should be used if the valve is installed on a dead end.

AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 200 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,034 kPa (10.34 bar), with a design to MSS SP-81 and flanges to AS 2129 Table E (all manufacturer-stated). It is a unidirectional metal seat valve with a CF8M body and a 316 stainless steel gate, and AAP lists its applications as tailings, slurries, mining, effluents, food processing, abattoir waste, paper pulp, sugar, engineering and water treatment.
