This AAP stainless steel ball valve is a 3-piece valve with an ISO 5211 actuator mounting pad. It is supplied in 9 sizes from 1/2 in (15 mm) to 4 in (100 mm).
A ball valve turns a ball with a hole through it between sealing seats. When the lever or handle is in line with the pipe the hole lines up with the flow and the valve is open, and a quarter turn closes it. AAP notes that the handle sits in line with the port, so it shows the valve position.
AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 6,895 kPa (68.95 bar), with a body in CF8M, a 316 stainless steel ball and stem, and a PTFE (Teflon) seat (manufacturer-stated). It suits air, water and hot or cold corrosive fluids in harsh environments, per the manufacturer.
The ISO 5211 mounting pad lets a pneumatic or electric actuator be fitted directly in place of a lever, for remote or automated shut-off. The catalogue lists the pad dimensions K and F as diameters; check them against your actuator before you order.
