Selecting the right option

Select eye bolt thread type (Metric, BSW, UNC) and diameter to suit the tapped hole in the equipment or structure. Collared (shoulder) eye bolts can accept angular loads; standard eye bolts are for vertical pull only. Match thread engagement depth to the manufacturer's minimum — insufficient engagement reduces the rated WLL significantly.
