Beaver Grade 80 recessed enlarged multi-leg oblong master links are designed for 2, 3 and 4 leg chain sling applications. Beaver states the WLL of each link at 60 degrees, from 3,150 kg (3.15 t) to 31,500 kg (31.5 t).
Beaver states that its Grade 80 lifting components are made from heat treated alloy steel, are tested throughout manufacture, and meet AS 3776, Lifting Components for Grade T Chain Slings. They carry distinguishing marks, including the brand, grade and size and a date of manufacture and batch ID.
Beaver's table gives the WLL at 60 degrees only. The WLL of a finished sling depends on its chain size, number of legs and leg angle, so take it from the sling's own marking or WLL chart.

Codes, WLLs and weights are from Beaver's Materials Handling Technical Manual (Vol. 4) and are approximate. Chain size is the Grade 80 chain size the link suits.
Selecting the right option
Choose the link by the chain size and the number of legs, and check that the link, chain, hooks and lifting point are all Grade 80 and rated for the load at the leg angle you will use. Lifting equipment must be used within its marked working load limit (WLL), inspected before each use, and selected and used in line with your site lifting procedure and the relevant Australian Standards.
