Selecting the right option

Select bow shackle WLL to match or exceed the maximum intended load — shackles must be de-rated when used in angled multi-sling configurations. Grade S (G4/Grade 4) suits most general rigging; Grade M (Grade 6) suits lighter-duty and commercial applications. Grade 80 shackles are required for certified lifting assemblies where Grade 80 chain components are used. Screw pin suits regular use; safety pin suits permanent rigging where the shackle will not be frequently removed.
