This Dixon 206 Series hammer union is forged steel with female NPT (FNPT) threaded ends, a grey sub and a blue nut. Dixon lists eight sizes from 1" (HU206100) to 8" (HU206800) and rates the series at 2000 PSI (138 bar) NSCWP (manufacturer-stated).
NSCWP means non-shock cold water pressure: the rated value is the maximum pressure at an ambient temperature of 21 degrees C, with no pressure spikes above it and no instantaneous pressure rises (manufacturer-stated). Dixon gives the temperature range as -32 to +93 degrees C, and describes the 200 and 206 series as having a nitrile O-ring mounted fitting body (manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option
Hammer unions work at very high pressure, and Dixon warns that mixing components from different series can lead to destruction of property, serious injury or death (manufacturer-stated). Keep the sub, nut and seal in the same series and size, and check the rating suits your system. The 206 caps in Dixon's range fit the 206 thread, for example the 4" cap HU207400 linked below. Dixon lists a 200 series in the same sizes with the same 2000 PSI rating; confirm the figure number of your existing unions before you order.
