Dixon TL14AM7-050PL 1/2" Automatic Weld Ferrule PL Finish - SF1

This Dixon automatic weld ferrule is a 316 stainless steel clamp-end fitting that is welded onto the end of BPE tube so the tube can be joined with a clamp and gasket. Dixon lists it in 9 sizes, from 1/2" to 6" (manufacturer-stated).
The PL finish (SF1) is mechanically polished on both surfaces: Dixon gives the outside as .812 and the inside as .508 (manufacturer-stated).

Dixon prints the finish figures without a unit on its product pages. Its BPE surface finish table lists them as Ra maximum in micrometres (um), and the 2024 Dixon catalogue prints the same finishes as 32 Ra, 20 Ra and 15 Ra. Dixon describes mechanical polishing as smoothing the surface with tools and progressively finer abrasives, and electropolishing as an electrochemical process that removes material and leaves a smoother, mirror-like surface (all manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option
Pick the size from the OD of your tube and check the nominal wall in the table. The ferrule is the weld end only, so you also need a clamp and gasket of the same size: the table under Matching clamp and gasket shows what Dixon lists for each size. Choose the finish from your process specification: PL is mechanically polished inside and out, PM is electropolished inside.
