The Loctite 510 Gasket Eliminator Flange Sealant is a pink, high-temperature anaerobic paste that forms gaskets in place on rigid, close-fitting metal flanges. It handles -55°C to +200°C, fills gaps up to 0.25 mm and fixtures on steel in about 25 minutes, replacing pre-cut gaskets on housings, casings and pump flanges. In Australia it carries AGA approval (certificate 2590, Class II, 500 kPa), and it is NSF Category P1 registered. Available in 50 ml and 250 ml.
Run a continuous bead, rolled film or screen print onto one clean, grease-free flange face (coat both faces when rolling on gaps above 0.125 mm), and tighten the flanges promptly to avoid shimming, using Activator SF 7471 or SF 7649 where cure is slow or gaps are larger. It is not normally recommended for plastics, particularly thermoplastics, or for oxygen-rich systems and strong oxidisers. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
