Loctite 51007 C5-A Copper Anti-Seize 454g

Loctite LB 8008 C5-A (part 51007) is a non-curing, copper-coloured anti-seize paste. It shields mated parts from high-temperature seizing and galling, so studs, bolts, flanges and gaskets come apart more easily and in cleaner, better condition.

Henkel lists it for maintenance work in petroleum and chemical plants, steel mills, power plants, marine and foundries. It suits copper, brass, cast iron, steel and all alloys including stainless steel.

Selecting the right option

Using it

Make sure the mating surfaces are clean and free of grease.

Apply a thin coating to the threads and flats of the nuts and bolts, then assemble.

Torque follows T = K x F x D, where K is the torque coefficient, F the clamp force and D the bolt diameter. Wear a dust mask when grinding or wire brushing.

Storage and handling

Store the unopened container in a dry location, optimally between 8 °C and 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect the properties of the product.

Limits and safety

Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidisers. Read the safety data sheet before use.
