Loctite LB 8504 Anti-Seize Lubricant

The Loctite LB 8504 Graphite Synthetic Anti-Seize Lubricant (formerly Loctite Graphite-50 Anti-Seize) is a dark grey, metal-free anti-seize paste made from synthetic graphite and petrolatum. It lubricates machine threads, tapered pipe threads and press-fit and slip-fit joints from -29°C to +482°C, so parts go together easily and come apart after service. On 12.7 mm grade 8 bolts it gives a torque coefficient of 0.13, against 0.27 for clean, dry fasteners, for more even clamp load across a joint. This is the 454 g can.

Brush or wipe it straight from the can onto threads and joint faces as you assemble — it is non-curing and should be used full strength, never thinned. Although it contains no metal, it still conducts in metal-to-metal joints, and it should not be used in pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems or with chlorine and other strong oxidisers.
