The Loctite PC 9593 Nordbak Fast Curing Wearing Compound is a two-part, 100% solids epoxy filled with alumina beads and silicon carbide for rebuilding and protecting wear areas that also take impact. Its rubber-toughened matrix holds the fillers for resistance to both abrasion and impact, and it reaches functional cure in about 4 hours at 25°C, so equipment is back in service fast. It suits dredge pump liners, chutes, hoppers, vibrating feeders, flumes and troughs. This is the 3 kg kit.
Good surface preparation is essential: degrease, radius sharp edges to at least 3 mm and grit blast to a 75–100 micron profile before mixing 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener. Wet out the surface with a thin first coat, then build up to at least 6 mm within the 15-minute working time — a kit covers about 0.245 m² at that depth, and once cured it can only be removed mechanically.
