Selecting the right option

This is a 3 g gel for light repairs. For a gel with published steel and aluminium data see Loctite 454 Instant Adhesive Gel 20g, or for another gel format see Loctite 410 Black Toughened Instant Adhesive 20g.

Using it

Apply at 15 °C to 30 °C and at least 30% relative humidity. Hold the parts for at least 1 minute (Australian data sheet), then allow at least 10 minutes, preferably overnight, for full strength.

The data sheet describes the bond as water resistant, but not intended for continuous exposure to moisture.

Storage and handling

Store in a cool, dry place, upright.

Limits and safety

Henkel does not recommend it on polypropylene, polyethylene, PTFE, vinyl, silicone rubber, foams, expanded polystyrene, synthetic fabric, glass and glazed surfaces or very soft leather. Avoid dusty, dirty or wet surfaces, permanently wet areas, and assemblies that will hold hot liquids.
