Sutton M7101000 Cold Chisel 10 mm x 165 mm - Soft Grip, Chrome Vanadium Steel

The Sutton M710 cold chisels range covers 6 sizes, 10-25 mm, with soft grip handles and chrome vanadium steel construction. A cold chisel is made of tempered steel and is used for cutting cold metals. It is not used in conjunction with heat. Cold chisels remove waste metal when a very smooth finish is not required.

Made from high quality chrome vanadium steel with a black oxide finish. The point is hardened and tempered to withstand continuous use. An ergonomic soft rubber grip provides comfort and safety. The handle is colour coded.

Each cold chisel is sold singly. The sizes are the cutting width of the chisel and the overall length.

Using the cold chisel

• Choose the chisel width for the job: the smaller sizes suit lighter work and the larger sizes remove more material.
• Hold the chisel square to the work and strike the head squarely with a hammer.
• Wear eye protection when striking hardened tools.
