The Sutton T350 is a spiral point (gun) tap (VA PM designation) for BSPF (G) threads, made from powder metallurgy, vanadium grade high speed steel (PM-HSSE V3) with a TiCN coating. This listing covers 4 sizes from G 1/4 x 19 TPI to G 7/8 x 14 TPI.
The gun (spiral point) nose curls the chip forward, ahead of the tap and out of the hole, so chip clogging is avoided and coolant can flow without problems. It suits through holes. The VA PM designation is for stainless and tough steels, with the VA geometry in powder metal high speed steel. The chamfer is Form B (4.5 x P), for through holes in medium and long chipping materials.
The thread standard is ISO 228. The tap is built to DIN 5156: reduced shank with square drive.
