Sandpaper Rolls

AIMS Industrial sells aluminium oxide sandpaper rolls from Norton, Pferd and Klingspor — flexible abrasive rolls in cloth and paper backing for hand sanding, sanding blocks, abrasive bench stations and bespoke cut-to-length sanding strip applications. Supplied in standard roll widths (typically 115mm and 120mm) and lengths up to 25m, allowing the abrasive to be torn or cut to any required length.

Abrasive Roll Types

• Cloth-backed rolls: The Norton Metalite Brown Aluminium Oxide Cloth Roll uses a cloth backing that provides flexibility and tear resistance — essential for hand sanding curves, contours and profiles. Cloth backing also allows the roll to be used wet or dry.
• Paper-backed rolls: Klingspor D-Paper (PS30D), B-Paper Stearate (PS33B), C-Paper Stearate (PS33C) and B-Paper (PL31B) rolls provide different backing weights and stearate coatings for different sanding applications. Stearate coating prevents loading (clogging) when sanding soft materials, resins, plastics and painted surfaces.
• Painter’s rolls: Norton Perforated Masters Painters Sandpaper Roll and Pferd Painter’s Roll are specifically formulated for paint and primer sanding in automotive and decorator applications, with anti-clog properties for extended life in paint systems.

• Pferd — German precision abrasive brand. Pferd painter’s rolls are widely used in automotive panel preparation and finishing applications.
• Klingspor — German abrasive specialist with a comprehensive range of paper and cloth rolls. Klingspor’s PS and PL series cover a wide range of backing weights and grits for wood, metal and paint applications.
