AAP Bronze Globe Valve, 1/2"

This AAP bronze globe valve with stainless steel trim has a bronze body, bonnet and bonnet nut, a 316 stainless steel disc, seat trim and stem, and female threaded ends. It is supplied in 6 sizes from 1/2" (15mm) to 2" (50mm).

A globe valve regulates flow with a movable disc that closes down onto a stationary ring seat inside a roughly spherical body. Flow turns through the body, so a globe valve has a higher pressure drop than a gate valve of the same size. The maximum working temperature is 260°C and the cold working pressure is 4,000 kPa (40 bar), with a thread to AS 1722.1. The pressure figure is the cold working pressure, so the allowable pressure falls as the temperature rises. The disc, seat trim and stem are 316 stainless steel, the gland is DR brass, the handwheel is ductile iron and the packing is Graphoil.

Choosing the right option

Choose the size to match your pipe thread and check the pressure and temperature rating for your duty. L is the length of the valve, H is the overall height with the handwheel and W is the width across the handwheel, as shown on the AAP drawing.
