1/2 in (15 mm) Stainless Steel Globe Valve | SSGL15

This AAP stainless steel globe valve has a CF8M stainless steel body, cap and gland ring, a 316 stainless steel disc and stem, PTFE packing and gasket, and female threaded ends. It is supplied in 6 sizes from 1/2 in (15 mm) to 2 in (50 mm).

A globe valve regulates flow with a movable disc that closes down onto a stationary ring seat inside a roughly spherical body. The stem screws the disc onto the seat, so the valve gives fine control of flow, and AAP says globe valves are typically used where throttling and frequent operation are needed. Flow turns through the body, so a globe valve has a higher pressure drop than a gate valve of the same size. Confirm the flow direction with AIMS before you install it.

AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,380 kPa (13.8 bar), with a thread to AS 1722.1, and lists the valve for corrosive liquids and harsh environments (all manufacturer-stated). The handwheel and name plate are aluminium alloy.

Choose the size to match your pipe thread, and check that CF8M and PTFE suit your fluid and temperature.
