AAP Forged Steel Globe Valve, 1/2"

This AAP forged steel Class 800 globe valve has a forged ASTM A105 body and bonnet, a stainless steel seat ring, disc and spindle, and socketweld ends. It is supplied in 6 sizes from 1/2" (15mm) to 2" (50mm). A globe valve regulates flow with a movable disc that closes down onto a stationary ring seat inside a roughly spherical body. Flow turns through the body, so a globe valve has a higher pressure drop than a gate valve of the same size.

The pressure figure is the cold working pressure, so the allowable pressure falls as the temperature rises. The body and bonnet are ASTM A105, the seat ring, disc, spindle, gasket and gland are stainless steel, the bonnet bolts are ASTM A193 Gr B7 and the gland packing is Graphoil.
