This AAP compressed fibre gasket is drilled to Table E (manufacturer-stated) and is supplied in 14 sizes from 1/2 in (15 mm) to 12 in (300 mm), all 1.5 mm thick.
AAP makes it from aramid fibres bonded with nitrile rubber (NBR) using a hot calender process, under quality control that AAP states is registered to ISO 9001. It is a full-face gasket drilled for the flange bolts.
AAP gives working conditions of +240 °C constant and +400 °C peak, with a constant working pressure of 5,000 kPa and peaks up to 11,000 kPa. Listed applications are air, water, low-pressure steam, petroleum derivatives, oil, gas and general chemical products.

Selecting the right option
AAP's temperature and pressure figures describe the gasket material, and the joint rating is set by the flanges and bolting, so check them against your flange rating. Check the bolt hole count and hole diameter in the table above against your flange before ordering. On the 4 in, 6 in, 8 in and 12 in sizes the listed drilling is smaller than AAP's natural rubber Table E gasket, so contact AIMS to confirm if you are not sure. Availability on the 8 in size varies, so contact AIMS before you order.
