2 in (50 mm) Resilient Swing Check Valve, Table E | VRSSC50

This AAP resilient seat flanged swing check valve has a cast iron body, cover and disc, an EPDM disc trim, a bronze body trim and flanges to AS 2129 Table E (manufacturer-stated). It is supplied in 9 sizes from 2 in (50 mm) to 12 in (300 mm).

A resilient seat swing check valve lets flow through in a nearly straight line and closes by swinging a hinged disc, here fitted with an EPDM disc trim, against the seat when flow reverses. AAP says it can be fitted with a counter lever and weight. AAP does not state which mounting positions the valve suits, so confirm the orientation with AIMS if the valve is not going in horizontal pipework.

AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 120 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,600 kPa (16 bar), with flanges to AS 2129 Table E, and lists the valve for water treatment plants, with a counter lever and weight available (all manufacturer-stated).

AAP lists the hanger pin only as stainless steel, without the grade, and the gasket as graphite. The 2-1/2 in valve is listed at the same 14 kg as the 2 in valve.

Choose the size to match your Table E flanges, and check the hole count against your mating flange. AAP also lists a Table D version in 4 in and 10 in.
