The BECO BHTS 2RS C4 VT 200° is a deep groove ball bearing for high temperature work up to 200°C, sealed on both sides. It is built on standard bearing boundary dimensions from stabilised AISI 52100 chrome steel, with C4 radial internal clearance and 2RS sheet steel seals with vulcanised Viton rubber. This range has 30 sizes with bores from 8 to 50 mm across the miniature, 6000, 6200 and 6300 series.
BECO rates it for -30°C to +200°C, with an economic operating range of 120°C to 200°C. It is lubricated for life with grease for temperatures up to 200°C, so it needs no additional lubrication.

Selecting the right option
Select by bore, outside diameter and width first, then check the limiting speed for that size in the table against the shaft speed. Limiting speeds run from 2,000 to 6,000 rpm, falling as the bearing gets larger.
The static load rating is shown at 200°C and at 20°C. Use the figure for the temperature the bearing will actually run at.
BECO warns that Viton seals resist many acids but this bearing is designed for high temperature only and cannot resist an acid environment.
Above 200°C choose the shielded 280°C range, or the Viton sealed 270°C range where rubber seals are needed.
Fitting and use
This bearing is lubricated for life and needs no additional lubrication.
Press the ring that has the interference fit onto its seat, and never push through the balls or the other ring.
The shaft and housing expand with temperature, so check the fits at operating temperature.
