Selecting the right option
Type F has a male BSP thread, so it screws into a female BSP port. It connects to a Type B, C or D coupler of the same size. Dixon states that bronze sand cast couplings may be welded with suitable equipment and a compatible filler, but that any modification voids the warranty and Dixon accepts no responsibility for modified couplings (manufacturer-stated). Dixon states that no standard exists for 15 mm (1/2") fittings and that this size generally does not interchange with other manufacturers (manufacturer-stated). Dixon states that dust caps and dust plugs must not be used in any pressure application (manufacturer-stated).
