CRC Food Grade Di-Electric Grease 284g

CRC Food Grade Di-Electric Grease is a non-curing silicone paste supplied in a hydrocarbon-propelled aerosol. CRC describes it as an electrical lubricant that seals, lubricates, protects, insulates and waterproofs.

CRC lists it for electrical panels, outdoor lighting, scoreboards, traffic lights, high voltage poles, transformers, disconnects and switching mechanisms. It is sprayed on as a light film to de-energised equipment.

This listing is the aerosol. Because the can is flammable and conducts electricity, it is applied only to equipment that has been switched off and de-energised.

Using it

Switch off the power, de-energise the equipment and drain any stored power. Allow hot surfaces to cool before spraying.

Spray a light, even film on the areas that need lubrication or protection. Repeat if more thickness is needed.

CRC directions: do not apply while equipment is energised.

Storage and handling

CRC warns that aerosol cans will conduct electricity. Do not puncture or incinerate the can, and do not store it above 50 °C.
