CRC Gel-TAC Synthetic Adhesive Lubricant 350g
Available
CRC Gel-TAC is a water resistant, multi-purpose lubricant gel in a 350g aerosol. CRC describes it as a specially formulated blend of synthetic oils with anti-wear additives, friction modifiers and tackiness agents.
The solvent evaporates in 2 minutes and leaves a non-drying oil gel. CRC lists it for chain drives, open gears, wire ropes and highly loaded reciprocal moving parts.

Selecting the right option
For other CRC adhesive lubricants see CRC TAC2 Adhesive Lubricant Aerosol 300g, which is a different formulation with its own data. For a lubricant made for wire rope see CRC Aerosol Wire Rope & Cable Lubricant 285g.
Using it
Switch off and de-energise the equipment before use. Do not apply while equipment is energised. Shake the can well.
On a chain, apply to the upper edges of the overlapping side plates and let it set up before energising.
On wire rope, coat the whole surface so the gel penetrates between the strands.
On other wear surfaces, spray an even coat over the entire wear surface.
Storage and handling
Keep the can away from heat and do not expose it to temperatures above 50 °C.
Limits and safety
SDS classification: signal word Danger. Extremely flammable aerosol (H222). Pressurised container: may burst if heated (H229). May cause drowsiness or dizziness (H336). May cause long lasting harmful effects to aquatic life (H413). Transport class: UN 1950, Aerosols, Class 2.1. Keep away from heat and ignition sources. Do not apply while equipment is energised. CRC's technical data sheet lists no specifications or approvals for this product. Read the safety data sheet before use.
