Loctite 290 Medium Strength Threadlocker

Wicks into engaged threads — locks fasteners without taking them apart first. Suits set screws, electrical connectors and instrument fittings already in place. Also seals porosity in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. Loctite 290 is a green, low-viscosity wicking threadlocker that cures to medium to high strength and reaches fixture strength in about 20 minutes. Apply at the screw and body juncture without touching the bottle tip to the metal.

Prevail torque (M10 steel, 24 h): 29 N·m. Compressive shear strength (steel pins and collars): ≥5.4 N/mm². Fixture time: 20 minutes. Operating temperature: -55°C to +150°C.
