Loctite AA 330 Structural Acrylic Adhesive Cartridge 300ml

Loctite AA 330, also known as Loctite 330, is a one-component, high viscosity acrylic adhesive based on urethane methacrylate ester. It needs no mixing and cures with Loctite Activator 7387 or 7386.

Henkel describes it as a general-purpose adhesive for metal, wood, ferrite, ceramic and plastic. The data sheet lists tool handles, appliances, sporting goods and decorative trim as uses.

Selecting the right option

Loctite AA 330 is the higher viscosity of the two activator-cured acrylics here and comes as a cartridge. For a medium viscosity liquid in a smaller pack, see Loctite AA 324 Structural Adhesive 50ml.

The activator is Loctite 7387 Activator 100ml.

Using it

Apply the activator to one surface and the adhesive to the other, and assemble within 15 minutes. For larger gaps or a faster cure, apply the activator to both surfaces and assemble within 1 minute.

Hold the parts clamped until the adhesive has fixtured. The Henkel data sheet gives no numerical fixture time; cure speed depends on the materials, the gap and the temperature.

Full strength is typically reached in 24 to 72 hours, depending on bond gap, materials and conditions. The recommended bondline is 0.1 mm, with a maximum gap of 0.5 mm.

Storage and handling

Store unopened, in a dry place, between 8 °C and 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect the properties of the product. Do not return used product to the container.

Limits and safety

Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidising materials. Resistance to acetone and unleaded petrol is low. The NSF P1 registration is a regional approval; confirm it with your local Henkel Technical Service Centre. Read the safety data sheet before use.
