Loctite 577 Medium Strength Thread Sealant

The Loctite 577 Medium Strength Thread Sealant is a yellow, anaerobic paste for locking and sealing metal pipe threads and fittings. Properly tightened fittings seal instantly to moderate pressures, it fills gaps to 0.25 mm, and it cures on stainless steel without surface activation. It holds Australian Gas Association approval (certificate 4787) along with DVGW, NSF P1 and WRAS approvals, and handles -55°C to +150°C. Available in 50 ml and 250 ml.
Clean and dry the threads, run a 360° bead around the leading male threads, leaving the first thread clear, and work it into the roots, adding a bead to the female thread on larger sizes. Allow at least 24 hours for full pressure and solvent resistance, and don't use it on plastics or in pure-oxygen or chlorine service. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
