Loctite 620 High Strength Retaining

The Loctite 620 High Temperature Retaining Compound is a green, high-viscosity anaerobic retainer for bonding cylindrical fitting parts, particularly where bond gaps approach 0.2 mm. It cures between close-fitting metal surfaces to stop loosening and leakage from shock and vibration, and works from -55°C to +230°C. Its medium to high strength (17 N/mm², rising to 24 N/mm² after heat exposure) suits bearings, pins, bushings and sleeves in hot-running assemblies. This is the 10 ml pack.
Clean the parts with a Loctite cleaning solvent, then apply to suit the fit — rotating slip fits, coating both surfaces on press fits, or coating the unheated part on shrink fits — and leave undisturbed for about 60 minutes to fixture, then heat locally to around 300°C if it needs to come apart. It is not normally recommended for plastics, especially thermoplastics, and should not be used in oxygen-rich systems or with strong oxidisers. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
