Loctite PC 9593 is a two-component, 100% solids epoxy wearing compound. Henkel describes it as a rubber-toughened matrix filled with alumina beads and silicon carbide. Henkel's current name for it is Loctite PC 9593 Fast Cure High Impact Wearing Compound.
It protects, rebuilds and repairs wear areas of processing equipment subject to impact. The resin is a blue paste and the hardener a grey paste. They are mixed 2:1 by weight or by volume and trowel-applied.

Selecting the right option

Using it
Round sharp edges to at least a 3 mm radius. Blast to a 75 to 100 micron profile, Near White Metal (SIS SA 2.5 / SSPC-SP10).
Mix 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener by weight or by volume. Apply a thin wet-out coat first, then trowel on the mix. Henkel specifies a minimum 6 mm build.
Apply at 10 °C to 40 °C. Working time is 15 minutes and functional cure is 4 hours.
Storage and handling
