Mackay DB19555 Moulded Docking Buffer, 195 x 50 x 55 mm

The Mackay moulded docking buffer is a tapered rubber block with two mounting holes. Mackay says it suits truck trays and loading bays (manufacturer-stated).

It comes in three sizes: DB15090 is the tallest and heaviest at 150 x 90 x 76 mm and 1.2 kg, DB15575 is 155 x 75 x 65 mm and 0.72 kg, and DB19555 is the longest and lowest at 195 x 50 x 55 mm and 0.62 kg (base length x height x width, Mackay catalogue table).

Letters follow the Mackay catalogue drawing: A and B are the top and base lengths, C the height, G the width, D and E the outer and inner diameters at each mounting hole, F the spacing between hole centres. Mackay prints all properties as nominal and asks you to contact them for technical advice. Both Mackay catalogues print the same values for these part numbers.

Selecting the right option

Choose by the space you have and the hole spacing on your tray or dock: hole spacing (F) is 75 mm on DB15090, 87 mm on DB15575 and 120 mm on DB19555, with hole diameters (E) of 13.5, 14 and 11 mm. Mackay gives no hardness, compound or load rating for this buffer, so contact Mackay for technical advice where impact loads are high.
